Let's talk #PercyJackson in more depth, a 🧵: I've seen eps. 1-4, and they are everything I could have ever wanted, as a fan and as a person who appreciates the power of storytelling. THE WRITING: I have never seen a book's humor, tone, and raw emotion captured more (1/?)

brilliantly in an adaptation than what #PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians offers. I am finishing my first re-read of the books since middle school right now, and I am so glad to be watching this show with the books so fresh in my mind. Fans, be glad to know that every iconic (2/?)

moment you want to see on screen is there. I'll acknowledge, there are a couple changes from the books, but they are very intentional, and only serve to add to/enhance the story, or answer some questions I know I've had since I first read the series as a kid. (3/?)

THE CAST: I want to highlight an MVP or stand-out, but I literally cannot decide who that would be, everyone nails it. Walker embodies Percy, embracing his sarcastic wit and deep emotions. Aryan's Grover has changed the way I see the character in the books now, in the best (4/?)

way possible. Leah is immaculate—it's clear she understands who Annabeth is, and how Annabeth's mind works. The supporting cast is brilliant, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Dior Goodjohn, and Charlie Bushnell come to mind first, but the more time I spend re-watching (5/?)

the more I am impressed by the entire ensemble. I cannot wait to watch these actors grow with their characters if we're lucky enough to get future seasons. THE DESIGN: This looks exatcly how I have always imagined #PJO looks. The incredible set and costume design (6/?)

transports you so deeply into the world of the story that once the episodes end, you need to take a moment to re-orient yourself in reality. Props and VFX are stellar. Sound design is amazing. Lighting, direction, fight choreography, all of it just works. THE MUSIC: I (7/?)

could spend all day praising what is sure to become the iconic sound of Percy Jackson for generations to come. I can't explain how, but it just sounds like the story. It hits exactly the way it should. I keep finding it stuck in my head. OVERALL THOUGHTS: This show is (8/?)

worth the many years fans have spent waiting. It is the adaptation the books deserve, it is the adaptation @rickriordan and @camphalfblood deserve, it is the adaptation Percy and Grover and Annabeth deserve, and it is the adaptation the fans deserve. Watch this show. Share (9/?)

this show with those you love, and bring this world to all who will be willing to embrace it. It is truly a thing of beauty. (10/10 - end of 🧵).
