He blamed strained relations with China for his lack of info. But emails tell another story - showing a chummy relationship between Daszak and "Bat Lady" Shi Zhengli through 2024.

Daszak misled the committee, the report shows, potentially exposing him to perjury or false statements charges.
DEFUSE is a coronavirus engineering research proposal that some scientists call a "blueprint" for COVID. DARPA rejected the proposal. Daszak said this was merely "a little miff."
