Doué is a great scorer with quick, confident shots and varied finishes. He plays like he hears music in his head, never hesitating to run at defenders. His shooting technique is similar to Ronaldo’s, with his leg staying in line and not crossing his body. He’s versatile, dribbling and finishing well, and shows strong work ethic, even getting game time under coach Genesio at Rennes.
Btw about Doué. He's an actual killer when it comes to, you know, scoring goals. And it doesn't take a PhD or a billion data points to notice it. ⬇️

Still believe PSG will definitively unlock him when he plays in more central areas. Changes the picture like few others, no angle biais, powerfull stride and upper body to ride the challenges.
Things you wanna look at :
- speed of execution (last touch -> shot)
- variety of finish (chipped, powerfull, inside of the boot and whatnot)
- basic technical pointers (position of the pivot foot, shoulders above the ball)
- confidence
Doué plays like a guy who hears the compilation's music in his head. Never backs down, never hesitate to run at his defender even if he messed up his last attempts. Confidence, another thing data won't help you with.
And one very specific thing about his shooting technique : his shooting leg never fully goes across his body but rather stays in line with it. And when it look like it's getting across his body, his pivot leg leaves the ground.
This is (take a deep breath and stay with me) kinda how Ronaldo used to shoot the ball. Allows to generate lots of power in difficult angles.
Keeping his shooting leg in the axis of its body. And with his pivot leg leaving the ground when his shooting leg gets across his body
For comparison purpose look at those finishes. First one his Doué, shooting leg staying on the same side and not getting across his body.
Second and third are Barcola, shooting leg getting across his body.
And last but not least : unidimensional players are boring. Guys who can do two things are cool. Doué can dribble/carry, he can also finish, and he has a higher workrate than some actual #8.
Don Bruno Genesio gave him a run of games in a midfield two in Rennes.
The Bruno Genesio who's not tactical enough despite having the best CL record for a french manager not named Zidane and giving debuts for fun cause he can spot and develop a player. He played a back4 of players who came through Rennes academy on european nights out. But whatever.
