The thing that no one who supports trans rights seems to realize is that the current trans community is nothing like the trans community of twenty years ago. There is no more safeguarding; no one to prevent sexual predators from accessing estrogen; no one keeping them from changing their names to avoid being placed on the registry; no one saying "oh wait, this man was convicted of four rape/homicides; maybe we shouldn't put him in a women's prison." Instead, every sicko psycho deviant who gets off on wearing women's panties has been encouraged to identify as a "transwoman" and told they have the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to enter women's spaces, play women's sports, and be put in women's prisons should they commit a crime, even if that crime is rape/homicide. Female victims have been forced by the courts to refer to their male rapists as she/her while recounting the events of their ordeals. Men who have raped babies have been put in prison units that contain mother/baby wings. A 5'2 woman was raped by her 6'3, 250 lb male cellmate, and when she reported it, he counter-accused, and SHE was punished. Her rapist then went on to rape another female inmate before finally being placed in segregation....where he raped a third woman. This is institutionalized misogyny and abuse -- and it gets worse. CA's Bureau of Prisons just made a new rule requiring that every strip-search in a women's facility must now be videotaped. Why? Because the biologically male -- and fully intact -- inmates who claim to be women were becoming visibly aroused and making harassing remarks to the female guards who are required by law to conduct their strip searches. Because the state doesn't want to seem transphobic, the real women have to be videotaped too. Keep in mind that almost all female inmates have experienced male sexual violence at some point -- and now they have to be videotaped during these humiliating searches, all so that the men who harass and abuse them all day long might feel some hesitation at extending that harassment to female guards. But that's not all. A bunch of male guards were recently found watching the videos of women being strip-searched for their own....enjoyment. Of course, they weren't watching videos of trans inmates. Isn’t that weird? When it comes time to abuse or rape someone, EVERYONE knows what a woman is.
