It's Full Council today and Greens are involved in items on Millerhill Energy from Waste facility; reinstating Education Welfare Officers; the Forth 'Green' Freeport; disabled people and sexual health services; donation of mobility aids and many others.

@AlysGreens Green Councillor @CllrBenParker's question to @shelterscotland focused on the issue of Mid Market rentals, which are unaffordable for many and take-up land that could be used for social housing.

@AlysGreens @CllrBenParker @shelterscotland The Council Leader is now answering questions from Councillors. @AlysGreens has asked the leader to support a ceasefire and urgent humanitarian aid for Gaza, and it was positive that he indicated support.

Green Councillor @CllrBenParker has asked the leader about the Administration's focus on the nature emergency, given the worrying findings of the 2023 State of Nature report.

@CllrBenParker Green Councillor @CllrDanHeap used the recent JRD report on destitution to highlight the need for a social security take-up strategy, agreed in principle in November last year but not yet progressed.

@CllrBenParker Green Councillor @KayleighFONeill has had her motion on organising mobility aid donations to conflict zones approved by Councillors.

Green Councillor @CllrDanHeap seconded @KayleighFONeill's motion, saying that we need to make it much easier for people to donate useable mobility aids
