It's good to be intellectually sound but keep the intellect submitted to the word of God if you really want to go deep in the things of God. In other words keep the soul submitted to the Spirit, this happens by prayer and fasting, when reading the Bible, invite Holy Spirit.

Ambitions build their castle with imagination, fantasies also live in the realm of imagination, know which one is vain and which is good. Cast the vain one down and bring it in submission to God. Some people claim they have a vision but it's really an imagination.

If you have a religious soul, and not a restored and a renewed mind, most of the time false vision has its source in vain imagination. It's the soul seeking to become dominant over the spirit. MEMORY This also one of the main gates the enemy uses to play games with us.
