Hard Life Lessons I've learned in my 30s that I wish I'd known in my 20s:
• Happiness It does not come from material possessions Our quest for and acquisition of material possessions will never completely satisfy our yearning for happiness. Happiness is derived from within.
• Comparison Someone out there will always have more Social comparison is the enemy of joy. Someone will have, do, and be more than you. Instead of concentrating on more, think about what is enough for you.
• Spend time with loved ones There will come a time when you all have pictures of your family. Create memories and spend more time with them if they are still alive. Please don't put it off until it's too late and then have regrets.
• Health is wealth True wealth is good health. When you're young, you believe you're invincible. However, health issues always surface as you get older. It is now time to eat healthily and exercise regularly.
• Everyone is going to die This is sad, but it is a reality. When you're alive, don't waste time arguing about trivial matters. It's time to start building meaningful relationships with the people you care about.
• Time is the most precious asset We lose time with every second that passes. Begin spending your time wisely on things that are important to you.
• No one cares how hard your life is Do not seek sympathy from the outside world. Nobody can help you as much as you can help yourself. Accept responsibility for your actions and become the CEO of your life.
• Actions matter more than words Your words show who you want to be. Your actions show who you are. If you want to make a difference, you must take action.
• Everything in life has an end Life, money, love, and youth all have an end, whether you like it or not. You should appreciate them because they will not be around forever.
• Everything is earned Nothing is given, everything is earned. If you want to succeed and change your life, take action. Nobody wants it more than you. Stop dreaming, planning, and hoping. It would be best if you started taking action.
• You cannot please everyone Stop trying to please everyone. You will lose yourself. Respect yourself by prioritizing your needs, principles, and values.
• Perfection is a myth No one is perfect. Recognize that you will make mistakes. The key is to keep moving forward and improving every day.
