Analysis + Crumb Compilation of #lycahugo in the 1.7 zenless update livestream & some other interesting details thread 🧵because this is driving me insane. (1/24)

1. Hugo Seeking praise from Lycaon -> Lycaon reading the News on Hugo -> Vivian calling Lycaon out for really caring about Hugo. Hugo doesn't call Lycaon Ex-partner here btw!! And Lycaon who values attentiveness to his job is distracted by only Hugo.

2. Vivian being close to Hugo is a given with their sibling relationship but Lycaon!? Mr. Ex-partner, archnemesis? I know what you are 😃😃

3. I am convinced that Lycaon saying the line about how Hugo is like his father and cares for nothing else is one of the delusions Hugo has when strapped to the chair in the room that Lycaon eventually finds him in.

Hugo might have been fed some substance that made him have delusions like Aventurine did in star rail after Sunday did his Harmony brand thing on him, as seen from the empty bottles behind him and the black smudges on his lips.

This leads to Hugo having a battle with his subconscious and the creation of evil Hugo which is probably another delusion like Aventurine's future self which is there to goad Hugo about his trauma and fears.

Adding on to this line, it represents 2 of Hugo's greatest fears/traumas. 1. Lycaon fully detesting him 2. Him becoming just like his Father

Hugo coming to terms with his past is likely what Lycaon means by "issues only he can resolve". A large part of this trauma comes from Hugo's bloodline which is referenced by the title of his EP, being "His Curse". Whilst "His Fate" refers to him becoming evil like his father.

Thus the name of the quest which is about Hugo and Vivian, both in their own ways, settling things with their past and traumas.

Another more obvious detail is Lycaon only finding Hugo after his bout of delusions as seen from the scratch marks on the floor coming from Hugo's struggle (Hurt/Comfort!!!!????)

ALSO HUGO'S SMUDGED EYELINER?? THIS DETAIL IS DRIVING ME INSANE OK????

4. Pretty much confirmation that Lycaon was in on Hugo's plan this whole time as he practically could've only made his promise to Hugo during their alone time at Ballet Towers at the end of the last quest. ALSO VIVIAN CALLING HIM OUT AGAIN???

5. The squiggle when Mr. Z is teasing Lycaon about his relationship with Hugo... everyone knows

6. How Lycaon starts talking about Hugo's looks, NO ONE ELSE SAID HE LOOKED HARMLESS GIRL, you just think he looks soft and cute don't you????? How Homo of you.... and no I'm not reading too deep into this

7. Lycaon showing how he doesn't believe Hugo is bad. Instead he believes that Hugo is fighting for the right thing with the wrong methods. Showing how OOC that line in the trailer where Lycaon accuses Hugo of only caring about his revenge is + his belief in Hugo's goodness

8. Lycaon and Hugo being put alone on a team together.

9. Lycaon and Hugo having some similar moves, probably referencing how they were both taught to fight under Jack.

10. HOW DO YOU KNOW?? YOU STILL LOVE HIM DON'T YOU?? THIS PRAISE ARGHHHHH

11.This Line of Lycaon again shows how he believes Hugo is good at heart with his encouragement of us to be his friend. Highlighting yet again that he doesn't hate Hugo at all, he just can't agree with the route Hugo has taken. Hence, presenting how their feud is not irresolvable

Other non-ship details I found interesting:

1. this scene of Belle + VV being tethered to ethereals is probably just YiXuan's introduction scene where she aura farms whilst saving them.

2. This Eye power of the proxy probably awakened rom the sheer willpower to save VV after VV likely sacrifices herself to save the proxies.

3. The dolls of the proxies that VV carries in the quest artwork have angel wings and halo add-ons that is a reference to VV's prophetic vision of them falling with angel wings.

4. Hugo teaching VV... 🥺🥺 i want to draw this so bad, the found sibling dynamic wholesomeness.... He has taken care of her so well

yes
