US does not have B2 bombers in the Mideast right now. They are housed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and can fly round trip from there to the Mideast if needed with a lot of air refueling. They were positioned in Diego Garcia during the Houthi operations that ended a month ago, but Fox News learned they returned to Missouri. B2 bombers can be used to drop the MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator) bunker buster bombs that carry the 30,000 pound bunker busters. Only the US has the MOP. These large bunker buster bombs were never provided to Israel. The B2 would be used to drop the MOP, which is the only known conventional bomb that could penetrate deep within Iran’s buried nuclear sites at, for instance, Fordow – which is set deep inside a mountain underground. All eyes right now are on Israeli warplanes targeting Fordow, NE of Qom, the Iranian city where the Ayatollahs study the Koran.
